A towerless tower defense game?

I’ve never heard of such a thing. But in this game, you need to protect your base at the middle of the screen. There will be a bunch of stuff headed your way from every angle in every corner of your little screen. You have three main ways of defending your base of the middle of the screen, but they aren’t towers. This is designed for mobile, so you can tap on things, slide on the screen with your finger, or you can do a long press to detonate a bomb affect. You can see it all in the trailer for this game. It’s a game called Cereus.

But that’s not all! This is a tower defense game with a skill tree, of all things.

And don’t think for a second that all this does is increase your damage. This actually gives you new tactics to use in the game in order to improve your gameplay. There is even a combo system like in a fighting game. But unlike a fighting game, this is not an arcade game. This is more like a strategy game. What really sets it apart is the fact that it’s designed for touchscreen. The game is not out yet, but we look forward to playing it!
