Tower defense games are pretty crazy 2 | TD Gaming
Yay now I get to talk about Jelly Defense. This is one of the ones I was the most excited about. Basically, the art style of the game set you up in a completely black and white type of monochromatic world. That makes the colors pop out and be even more important to gameplay but also the overall art style. You have to match the colors of the towers that you placed to the colors of the enemies to come down the lane toward the base. This game takes the element of selling a tower and really highlights the importance of that functionality because you might need to tear down towers in order to create towers of different colors to protect against certain enemies. It’s a cute little game, and it’s very effective tower defense game.
Another great game that just came out in 2018 few weeks ago is called Jamata Defense. It’s a great traditional tower defense game, with a lot of features that are usually found in TD mobile games. A lot of the mechanics of the game itself might be found in other mobile games, but the level of polish in terms of 3-D graphics and music and storytelling and voice acting are not normally found in a puzzle game like this. Normally strategy games have a very thin veneer of story or development of plot that kind of just drapes over the entire game itself. And normally these types of games aren’t in 3-D, which might tax some older cell phones. But this game manages to pull it all together fairly well to create a unique mobile experience. Definite recommend. Also- wear headphones. It’s awesome.
Like Final Fantasy, you’ll like this tower defense game because it basically takes Final Fantasy Tactics Advance game assets and creates a whole new tower defense game out of them- but a lot of fun to play because it really feels like a game Final Fantasy game. Instead of using towers, you use the warrior, the time mage the archer. You can set these up as, basically AS towers, around the map it to defend your crystal. As the campaign goes on, this kind of an RPG element with the enemies start to get a little bit harder. It’s great, and it’s a lot like Final Fantasy, and I love it.
