Crystallight Defense | TD Gaming
The game is split between Campaign Mode and Battle Mode. It’s tower defense-based gameplay revolves around mixing crystals and force waves, using obstacles and using mines to defend each castle in Campaign Mode.
The game features 40 different maps that you can replay in order to increase your score each time. There are four basic types of crystals that can be mixed in order to get different effects. The enemies are relatively varied, with over 15 different enemy types. The online scoring system has 6 tables for scoring. The game also features a tuturial to get you used to some of the specifics as well.
The Iron Monsters are produced in the underground forge in each level. The forge itself indicates the wave. The goal is to get all the monsters before they can break the shield around the castle. The mana system determines what your build options are for new towers. Be sure to always use mana before the mana storage is filled up or risk forfeiting mana that goes over the storage limit that you might get.
If you want to get more points and awards in the game you have to click on the forge to speed up the wave progression. This is a nice addition to a tower defense game- it gives you the option to make the level harder in order to get more points. Well done.
By mixing crystals and adding them to towers you can stack effects on different towers to improve certain defenses. Enchanting crystals magnifies their power as well. The max level of each one is 5, so there are a lot of options for upgrades there.
Keep in mind that the strength of the castle shield is determined by your defense skill, which you can increase. You can also touch the shield in order to add one defense point for ten mana each. This can really come in handy when you need to reinforce the shield, knowing that you can’t stop the enemy that is approaching the castle.
Crystals are generated randomly. When you mix crystals on your crystal palette keep in mind that powers that are closer to one another will have better results when you mix them. Use enchantments to increase the range and firing speed of each crystal as well. You can also turn crystals in to mines, which are extremely powerful and cause area of effect damage within their given range.
Once you master these basic mechanics you will be able to force waves and really improves your overall score in the game.
The online rating system lets you see how you stack up against other players via the game server. The scoring is cloud-based as well, so you won’t lose your scores as they are stored on the cloud server instead of on your device.
All in all give this game a shot and see if you can get the hang of it’s mechanics. It offers more features than a normal tower defense game and you will need them all in order to beat all 40 castles!
