Tower Defense Zone 3 Ultra HD Part 2 | TD Gaming
In most TD games, I hate the tutorial.
I think that tutorials in td games stupid and they are a waste of time. Most games I do not want anything- any kind of tedious nonsense- before I start actually playing the game. But this game could stand with some kind of background or backdrop or something. Something preliminary before you actually start playing. I love jumping in with both feet immediately but this game doesn’t really let you know how to play it at all. No tips pop up. If you hover over the different towers nothing like that even really happens. You just have to just put things different places and just hope it all works out.
There are eight towers. There are only eight towers.
And they will only ever be eight towers so it’ll eventually be easy to get a sense of how to use them all, but there’s a learning curve that doesn’t really need to be there. So that really doesn’t make any sense. Being that the game is actually so simple, it shouldn’t be so hard to just figure out how to use those eight towers.
Placing towers can also be a real headache.
There are no obvious nodes or tiles to put towers and in this game. There are no indicators that make it apparent of where to place your towers. In Defence Zone 3 Ultra HD you just have to drag your tower around and then find a place to put it. Granted, when you do start to drag you can kind of see where it will allow you to place turrets, but it’s still not necessarily that clear. The size of the tower has to match the size of the square on the grid. When things really get heavy when enemies are really coming out hard, this type of approach to placing towers can really get in the way of placing your towers and defending your base and the can waste vital time. You can use the pause button, which is great but then you have paused action and it’s not really very good for tower defense experience. At times you will be not be able to see your towers, something else in the scene will be covering it- like trees or something like that. That doesn’t really help when you can’t really tell where everything really is. That’s probably the most annoying part of the game is just not being able to see your towers and not remembering that they’re even there.
